​​EPL: Kane equals record with hat-trick, Aguero reaches milestone as Spurs, Man City win

England international Harry Kane netted his 34th, 35th and 36th league goals of 2017 to equal Shearer’s 1995 mark as Spurs thrashed Burnley on Saturday to move up to fifth in the table.

The 24-year-old put his side ahead just 7 minutes into the game at Turf Moor when he converted a penalty awarded after Dele Alli ​was brought down ​in the box​.

He got his second of the day 21 minutes to stoppage time and completed the hat-trick 10 minutes later after Alli and Ben Davies combined to set him up for the goal.

​Kane is now the joint top scorer ​with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah ​in the Premier League this season with 15 goals from 19 games.

Earlier on Saturday, Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero reached goal number 100 ​in his side’s 4-0 win over Bourthmouth ​at the Etihad Stadium

The Argentine scored two goals and brilliantly made an assist for another as City racked up their 17th successive win in the league.

Raheem Sterling and Danilo scored the other goals for the Premier League leaders, who are now 13 points clear at the top following Manchester United’s 2-2 draw against Leicester City.

In the other Premier League games, Brighton ​pipped Watford ​1-0, ​Southampton ​drew ​1–1 ​with ​Huddersfield, ​Stoke City ​defeated West Brom ​3–1​, ​Swansea City ​drew ​1–1 ​with ​Crystal Palace​, while ​West Ham ​lost ​2–3 ​to ​Newcastle​.
