EPL: Kane equals record with hat-trick, Aguero reaches milestone as Spurs, Man City win
England international Harry Kane netted his 34th, 35th and 36th league goals of 2017 to equal Shearer’s 1995 mark as Spurs thrashed Burnley on Saturday to move up to fifth in the table.
The 24-year-old put his side ahead just 7 minutes into the game at Turf Moor when he converted a penalty awarded after Dele Alli was brought down in the box.
He got his second of the day 21 minutes to stoppage time and completed the hat-trick 10 minutes later after Alli and Ben Davies combined to set him up for the goal.
Kane is now the joint top scorer with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the Premier League this season with 15 goals from 19 games.
