The peaceful town of Kabba in Kogi State was thrown into disarray when two secondary school students (names withheld) were found dead due to mysterious circumstances.

It was however gathered, that their death may be connected with a cult initiation by a confraternity in the sleepy town.

And for the fear of police harassment, the parents of the teenagers said they were too devastated to speak to the media on the incident when contacted.

“The boys died of complications which resulted from drinking a “hard substance,” which was part of the initiation.” A source who craved anonymity told Vanguard.
“The boys voluntarily sought to join the confraternity.” The source added.

It was also gathered, that one of the boys was given a very hard concoction to drink during his initiation into Eiye confraternity by the leaders of the cult group, and that the substance, which was laden with very hard drugs, led to the death of the poor boy.

Meanwhile, fresh revelations informs that both victims ingested a performance enhancing brew known in local parlance as Sukudie which did not go down well with their systems resulting to their untimely deaths.

The two teenagers who resided at Odiolowo CAC area of Kabba, were rushed to the Specialist Hospital, Kabba, before they died.
