In from Nifemi Daniel …
There are strong indications that Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Blessing Okagbare, has rescinded her decision and is expected to hit the Team Nigeria camp on Thursday for the All Africa Games in Congo.
The 26-year old athlete drew the ire of Nigeria sports officials after she opted out of the 200m race in Beijing and also pulling out of the All African Games in Congo citing injury.
But a top official of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) told ripples.com.ng that the sprinter will arrive in camp in the morning to join the rest of the athletics team.

“I want you to dismissed the news that Okagbare has been banned by the National Sports Commission and the Athletic Federation of Nigeria following her refusal to participate in the 200m race, for Nigeria, during the just concluded IAAF World Championship in Beijing,” he said.
“Okagbare called and informed me that she would be arriving in camp on Thursday,” he added.
