10-man F’Eagles trash Congo, make world cup

Nigeria’s Under-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, qualified for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup on Wednesday, after whipping Congo 4-1 at the ongoing 19th African Youth Championship in Dakar, Senegal.

The Flying Eagles, with a match to play in Group A, have qualified for the semi-finals of the CAF championship, having defeated hosts Senegal 3-1 in their opening match.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup begins on May 30 in New Zealand.
