1. I collected Buhari’s certificate, says Kyari

Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, has told the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal that he collected the certificates of the President from Cambridge. He appeared as the third witness when the President opened his defence against the petition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar at the Tribunal.

2. IG orders nation-wide clampdown on IMN leaders, members

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has ordered a nationwide clampdown on the leaders and members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN). This is coming on the heels of the order of the Federal High Court in Abuja proscribing the group on Friday.

This was in reaction to a statement issued by Atiku congratulating new British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson over his election victory and thanking him for nominating a Nigerian as a minister.
