1. Oshiomhole re-echoes Presidency sentiment, says ‘Buhari can rule from anywhere’

For the second time since discussions on President Muhammadu Buhari’s frequent trips abroad became a topical issue in different fora in the country, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, on Tuesday defended the President and insisted that he can govern Nigeria from anywhere in the world. President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday approved the appointment of Sarah Omotunde Alade as Special Adviser to the President on Finance and Economy. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, disclosed this in a statement in Abuja. 5. Jigawa governor presents N152.9bn 2020 budget to Assembly

Jigawa State Governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, on Tuesday presented a total sum of N152.92 billion 2020 appropriation bill to the state House of Assembly. The governor presented the budget during the House plenary session. He said the budget was directed at sustaining economic growth and “social transformation of the state.” Governor Abubakar noted that the budget was lower than the 2019 budget by 4.5 percent. 6. Minimum wage: We’ll not rush to sign agreement with Kwara govt – NLC

The Kwara State chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) on Tuesday declared that it would not rush into signing an agreement with the state government on the new minimum wage.
