The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu has cast his vote. He voted at about 10:41 at Ijebu 2 Ward 5 unit 6.

Addressing the media after casting his vote, he said he was not yet going to give an assessment of the election process as it was still early in the day.

While he accepted that the process so far has been peaceful, he however cited some pockets of problems.

The problems include reports of malfunctioning of card readers in some polling units, which urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to urgently address.

He also noted that there have been complains in Ilaje over the soldiers there not doing their jobs well and that PDP is trying to ring election.

He urged the security agents to the gear up and be prepared for any untoward event.
