12 killed in Israel attack on Gaza school building

At least 12 people were killed and dozens more injured in an Israeli attack on a school building in Gaza City.

The Israeli army said in a statement on Tuesday that the Palestinian militant organization, Hamas had hidden a command centre on the premises.

“Hamas terrorists used the command and control centre to plan and execute attacks, “it stated.

The army claimed the attacks had been directed against troops and the state of Israel.

“To protect the civilian population, precise ammunition was used, and the area was surveyed from the air.

“The Hamas terrorist organisation systematically violates international law and operates from civilian infrastructure and shelters in the Gaza Strip, “the army added.
