12 perish as bomb blast rips through Kenyan guest house
Tragedy struck again in the same area hit by al-Shabaab militants this month when a bomb blast ripped through a guesthouse in northeast Kenya killing at least 12 people, according to local police.
“We have found 12 bodies so far after we managed to access the building,” one senior police officer told newsmen.
“We are still combing the area with the help of anti-terrorism police and sniffer dogs in the ongoing search and rescue.”
Job Boronjo, a local police chief, in Mandera County while confirming the casualties said eleven men and one woman were killed in the 3:30 am (0030 GMT) blast at the Bishar Guesthouse.
