1:30pm… Soldiers storm polling unit, chase away voters

Reports say, men in military uniforms stormed some polling units in Ode-Aye community in Okitipupua LGA, chasing away voters, and preventing them from casting their votes.

Also, in another part of the state, hoodlums accused of snatching ballot boxes have been arrested by security agents at Igbokoda, Ilaje area of the state.

According to police officials, the hoodlums were pursued from interior communities to the Igbokoda jetty where they were apprehended and taken to a police station.

The identities of the hoodlums were not disclosed, as the station DPO refused to talk to newsmen.
The state police spokesman said he has not been briefed on the incident.
