After 2 break-ups, I believe I'm not lucky in marriage --Fathia Williams (Video)

It is the dream of every woman to be married and ultimately have a stable family she can call her own but that seems not to be the case for Nollywood actress Fathia Balogun who recently reverted to her maiden name “Williams”.

In an interview with Broadway TV, the thespian who started her acting career in the early 90s when a certain Alhaji Fatai Teniola casted her in a movie, said that after two marriage failures, she believes she is one of those that doesn’t have the ‘luck for marriage’.

“Everything in Life is about luck. When I was growing up, the first that came to my mind was to have a glamorous wedding; a white wedding with my 9-5 husband my two kids and everything but if you go into one and it didn’t work out and you went into the second one and it didn’t work, that means marriage luck is not by your side. I think I am one of those ones that marriage luck is not on their side,” Fathia said.

The mother of two, who had disclosed in the past that acting was never part of her dream, saying she wanted to be a broadcaster, even though her father wanted her to be an accountant, also revealed in the interview that she could be faulted for her failed marriages.

“I don’t want to fault anybody. I have my own fault, they have their own faults but I think from my own faults, I adjusted myself, my lifestyle. I adjusted everything around me”.

Four days ago, Fathia dropped “Balogun” from her name and reverted to her maiden name “Williams” three years after officially severing ties with her estranged actor cum producer husband Saheed Balogun.
