2 dead after 2 days of prison riots in Mexico

Two inmates have thus far been declared dead and thirteen others injured after two days of violence bat a Mexican prison in Cadereyta.

The riots were sparked after protest against new X-ray machines used on women entering the jail went awry with prisoners setting mattresses ablaze in demonstrations.

According to state security spokesman Aldo Fasci Zuazua, the X-ray machines were deployed after guards detained two women who tried to enter the jail with drugs hidden on them.
