2 in Kirikiri prison for allegedly gang-raping 21 yr-old-woman

Commercial driver lands in police net for robbing, raping undergraduate

Two friends, Samson Shittu and Ramoni Animashaun have been remanded in Kirikiri prison by an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly raping a 21-year old woman.

The Prosecution, Inspector Christopher John on Wednesday told the court that the defendants committed the offence on April 26, at Osundeyi St., Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos.

John said that the defendants and others, who are currently on the run conspired and unlawfully gang-raped a 21-year-old woman whose name is withheld.

The suspects however pleaded not guilty to the offence while the Chief Magistrate, P.E. Nwaka adjourned the case until June 13 for mention.
