2 killed as rival cults clash in Bayelsa

THE struggle for supremacy between suspected rival cult groups have claimed two lives in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

It was gathered that the incident occurred, Wednesday, at 9.30p.m., at the Ekeki and Kpansia suburbs of Yenagoa.

According to eyewitnesses, four arm-wielding youths accosted a 32-year-old man at the Ekeki park junction and shot him dead.

The victim, identified as Otoko, popularly known as Oracle, an indigene of Delta State, is believed to be a member of a rival cult.

Also at the Kpansia area, some suspected cultists, were reported to have stormed a suya spot, lured their victim with a girl and shot him at close range.
