Delta State Police Command has arrested two Mobile Police Corporals attached to MOPOL 31, Ogwashi-Uku, over alleged involvement in kidnap of one Efe Daniel Umukoro.

Vanguard gathered that the suspects were arrested by members of the State Anti-Kidnapping Committee at Abraka.

The state’s House of Assembly had set up the committee to assist security agencies in tackling issues of kidnapping in the state.

Acting Police Public Relations Officer in the State, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, however, said the two police officers were arrested for misconduct and illegal duty. Identifying the arrested police officers as Oreva and Edom, Aniamaka said the culprits were facing disciplinary action.
