2016 Budget debate begins on quarrelsome note

The consideration of the 2016 budget submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari took off on a controversial note on Wednesday, as Senators elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, mocked it and asked the President to withdraw it.

According to the PDP Senators, it was not reasonable borrowing heavily to fund the budget.

However, Senators elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, described the budget as that of change.
