The debate on the 2019 budget has been suspended till Tuesday January 29 by the House of Representatives over the failure of the Ministry of Budget and National Planning to submit a reconciled figure of the budget.

It will be recalled that the Rep Abubakar Adamu had called the attention of the House to errors in the original budget document submitted to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari during plenary on Wednesday.

The Speaker, who allowed debate to continue on the general principles of the budget, asked the budget and national planning ministry to submit a reconciled version of the figures to the House today, Thursday so the lawmakers could continue their deliberation.
