2019 ELECTIONS: KOWA offers free forms to young persons

The KOWA Party has announced that it would give its nomination forms for free to young people, under 35 years seeking to contest for the Senate, House of Representatives and State Assemblies.

According to a statement by Victor Terhemba, the party’s acting director of communications, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, took the decision to give priority to youth inclusiveness in the electoral process, because of the role young people have to play in the future of the nation.

However, to qualify for free nomination forms, young aspirants will be “required to present a certain number of members of the party in their constituency who support their ambition and have fully paid their dues in 2018”.

Terhemba’s statement also lamented that “for the last three years, we have engaged the incumbent administration on their lack of leadership, good governance, transparency, accountability and an overall lack of direction in taking our country to a better place.
