2019: Ex-APC spokesman and Saraki ally Abdullahi reveals Kwara governorship ambition

Bolaji Abdullahi, former spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and close ally of Senate President Bukola Saraki has revealed his ambition to govern Kwara State.

Abdullahi made this declaration when family and friends visited him to celebrate Sallah at his residence in Illorin, on Thursday.

He said he wants to be governor to make a difference in Kwara.

The former minister of sports and youth development said it was unfortunate that the young people of the state were split into those who hate Saraki and those who love him.

“As of today, it is unfortunate that the young people of Kwara are being divided along the line of those who love Saraki and those who hate him. It is wrong, and unconscionable that the youth should be exploited this way,” Abdullahi said.

He said if elected governor, he would unite the people.

‘’If Insha Allah, I am elected, I will be the governor that unites all for the good of our state,” Abdullahi said.

“If anything goes wrong, I will take responsibility and fix it, and if things go right, I will share the glory with all of you here who place your trust in me.”

Abdullahi resigned as spokesman of the APC on August 1 and subsequently joined Saraki in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
