2019: It is God who makes winners and losers, Makarfi exhorts PDP members

Over 3,000 delegates gather for PDP’s unity meeting ahead of non-elective convention

Ahmed Makarfi, Chairman, National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has enjoined party members to be guided by the knowledge that power came from God.

Makarfi stated this Wednesday while inaugurating caretaker committees for Lagos and Kwara states at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja.

He said, “Power comes from God; In whatever we do, let us be guided by this singular knowledge. You can’t be too smart for God. You can’t be too rich or too poor. You must always have mutual accommodation for one another. This guiding principle will make it easier for us to live with one another”.

Makarfi also urged the committee members to prepare for their enormous responsibilities which he said included the setting up of local government and ward caretaker committees, as well as preparations for the congresses at the ward and local government levels.

He noted that the ‘real politicking’ is at the ward and local government levels.

“So you can begin the more difficult job. Your responsibility is to set up local government and ward caretaker committees. That is where the real politicking is. There is intense politicking at the local government and ward levels so that we can begin preparations for the congresses at the state, local governments and wards.

“A state that has 30 local governments for instance has to set up 30 caretaker committees. Not everyone can find accommodation in the caretaker committees. Those who want to aspire into the elective offices should not aspire to be members of the caretaker committees,” he said.

“As you consult to constitute caretaker committees , bear this in mind: Let those interested in elective offices begin to present themselves to the card carrying members of the party,” the caretaker committee chairman stated.

Power is of GOD truly but pdp likes to manipulate power, well, no need of inaugurating any state party because pdp is dead

Don’t say that, pdp still control the strongholds states in Nigeria, I mean the oil rich states in Nigeria, so anything can happen in 2019

Edo is in the hand of apc, so forget that, they are in control of oil rich states but they must remit to the Federal government of the apc

Politicians often preach the word of Gof like they actually believe in him, whereas they don’t.

Putting God first in all we do is actually very important, this is why I’ve always wanted Makarffi as PDP chairman, he’ll lead the party in Godly way. I’m sure greater things await PDP In 2019

Don’t be deceived by Makarffi’s sweet mouth, the devil knows bible more than the angels. If he’s preaching God that doesn’t means he believes in God alone.
