2019: Ohanaeze youth caution Buhari not to trust APC South East leaders

Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has told President Muhammadu Buhari not to allow himself be deceived by the All Progressives Congress (APC) South East leaders promise to deliver the region to him in the coming 2019 general election.

The region’s APC leaders had during a recent visit to Buhari in Abuja endorsed him to run for second term and assured that they will deliver South-East for the ruling APC in 2019.

But OYC, which is the youth wing of the Igbo apex body, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, said in statement by its national deputy treasurer, Dr. Kinsley Dozie, that Buhari should not mind the same “feather weight” leaders who were unable to deliver the region to him in 2015, and who again failed to deliver the APC in the November 15, 2017 governorship election in Anambra state.

He said, “It is highly regrettable that these feather weight leaders who could not deliver Buhari in the 2015 elections are at it again. They know they cannot do any magic for Buhari in 2019. They know that their poor leadership qualities have further eroded support for APC in the South East, but they went to Abuja just to protect their present positions and nothing more.”
