2019: Against party's plan Fayose launches presidential campaign

Contoversial governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has made good his boast to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Ekiti state helmsman has launched his presidential campaign on Facebook.

Fayose had earlier in the year claimed that God told him that he will become Nigeria’s President. He has has not too long ago hinted on actualising that in 2019.

While many Nigerians had seen Fayose as merely seeking attention with such statement, the Ekiti State governor has gone a step further to lunch his presidential campaign on Facebook.

Fayose’s presidential campaign launch is coming even as his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is said to have zoned the position to the North.

While some have argued that Fayose, who also is the PDP Governors Forum chairman, may be plotting to dump his party to actualize his goal, others feel that he is only positioning himself for a vice presidential position which PDP has zoned to the South.

Meanwhile, some political watchers have argued that governor seems a bit confused as to what he wants.

This is especially as Fayose has some time ago hinted at seeking re-election as governor of Ekiti State in 2018. He had said he was going to head to the Supreme Court to determine his eligibility to run again for the office of governor of his state since he did not finish his first term in office.

Fayose was one of the vocal voices who insisted that the recently sacked national chairman of PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff, must never be allowed as the party leader.

He has remained a strong opposition voice against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.

People around fayose should be very careful at this moment, he needs a new adviser and timely medical check up, he doesn’t seem to be normal

I think I agree with you that Fayose isn’t normal and that’s why we’ll vote for him come 2019. Only abnormal person can run the affairs of Nigeria successfully. Buhari that came into power as a normal person, what has he done? Nothing but to give us all poverty

Fayose is a cunning politician, even he will be the one to finally eliminate the pdp because if they fail to give him the presidential candidate, he will decamp

Its clear every member of the elites’club in Nigeria wants a slash of Nigeria’s already ‘BAKED CAKE’ to himself. In their bid to get a lion share of the CAKE, each tries to outsmart the other with different types of tricks on the gullible Masses (e.g.tribal sentiments, religious sentiments, even language sentiments) to portray himself as ‘Defender’ of the ‘CAUSE’ of the Masses in order to position himself at a vantage angle where the ‘CAKE’ is dearest to him. So, I concurred with his highness, the Emir of Kano,Alhaji Sanusi when he said Nigeria has only TWO PARTIES: The Elites’Party and The Masses’ Party. Shi ke nan.!!!!!!!!! May Allah let the Masses know who their REAL opponents and adversaries are, amin.
