2023: Fashola cautions against negative statements about Nigeria

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, on Thursday, cautioned Nigerians making degrading statements about the country in the build-up to the 2023 general elections.

Fashola issued the warning at TheNiche Annual Lecture on the 2023 Elections and the Future of Nigeria’s Democracy held in Lagos.

He urged Nigerians to desist from blowing the country’s challenges out of proportion.

The minister decried the growing abuse and reckless statement on social media.

Fashola said: “We can win elections without exaggerating our problems. We can do so by offering credible service and well-thought-out solutions.
