2023: Tunde Bakare signals intention to succeed Buhari

The race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari at the next general elections expected to take place in the year 2023 may have just started after Tunde Bakare declared his intention to contest for the presidency.

The Senior Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly revealed that much in an interview shortly after casting his vote during Saturday’s Governorship and State Houses of Assembly polls at the Opebi Grammar School polling unit.

He said; “I am going to throw my hat into the fray. I am just waiting for President Buhari to finish his tenure (in 2023). We cannot continue this way because we have something to offer this country, and we will by the grace of God”.

Bakare who was the vice-presidential candidate with President Buhari in the 2011 presidential election also added during the interview that he looked forward to a future where every Nigerian vote would count.
