21 perish as bus plunges into river in Nepal

Tragedy struck in the Chitwan district of Nepal when as bus filled with passengers plunged into the Trishuli river killing 21 while at least 16 people were rescued.

After the incident, rescue officials were seen at the scene as they struggled to help the injured to safety.

“Twenty-one people have died in the accident and 16 have been rescued,” district chief Binod Prakash Singh said, adding that the injured have been taken to a local hospital for treatment.
