$21m presidential helicopter gift to Air Force crashes

The $21million helicopter the presidency handed over to Nigeria Air Force two months ago has crashed within the Air Force base in Makurdi, Benue State.

It was learnt that the Augusta AW101, one of the aircraft from the Presidential fleet handed over to the NAF crashed after it had already landed.

An eyewitness who would not want to be mentioned disclosed that the event took place after the flight engineer, the only person on board, had landed and on trying to park it in the hanger, it suddenly went up before crashing.
