22 killed, 48 injured as multiple suicide bombers hit Borno fish market

At least 22 people lost their lives on Friday, after three suicide bombers set off their explosives at a market in Borno State.

The target was the fish market (Kasuwa Kifi) in the outskirts of Koduga, Konduga Local Government Area of Borno.

Reports say the three suicide bombers simultaneously detonated the Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on their bodies within the crowded market, killing their victims and wounding no more than 48 others.

A witness at the scene told reporters that “There were a lot of people doing last minute shopping when the suicide bombers hit the market”.
The security agencies were yet to speak on the incident as at the time of this report.
