With less than two months until the end of his administration, Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State on Tuesday swore in two new commissioners.

The two men, Solomon Agidani was assigned the Ministry of Works and Transports, while Tarkaa is to handle the Ministry of Rural Development and Cooperatives.

John Ngbede, the former Commissioner for Works and Transport, resigned his appointment to pick up the running mate ticket for PDP gubernatorial candidate in the state. Mr Aondowase Chia, the former Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives died in March.

Suswam, while swearing in Agidani and Tarkaa to replace the two commissioners, commended them for accepting to serve in his government that only has two months left. He urged the new commissioners to quickly adopt their new assignment in order to move the state forward.

Responding on behalf of the two, Agidani pledged to keep in touch with their constituencies and would not betray the trust reposed in them by the state.
