2yrs after, APC has plunged Nigerians into despondency, repression – PDP

The Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has summed up the achievement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) two years after it emerged the ruling party as having plunged Nigerian masses into despondency, ambiguity, repressed and depressed conditions.

He also attacked the claims of the ruling APC in its fight against corruption and said that the party contrary to its boast of fighting graft, has done nothing but make noise, hound, torture people and flout court orders as well as vilifications of opposition leaders and members in and out of courts

“Incarcerations without proving anything; harassments, intimidation, indiscriminate arrests and detention of judges in order to cow them to desecrate the judiciary and deny the people justice; promote gestapo state and by extension, kill democracy,” the PDP said.

The National Working Committee of the PDP stated this in a statement released by its spokesperson Dayo Adeyeye, insisting that in the last two years the APC-led government has been remarkable for highhandedness, crass ineptitude and lack of tolerance for the opposition.

While PDP further argued that the APC had vanishing democratic foundation it laid which enabled the opposition to win elections, it posits that the activities of the ruling APC as it is at present indicates a bleak democratic outing for the country in the 2019 elections.

PDP said that APC “has plunged the vast majority of the people into these two years of despondency, ambiguity, repressed and depressed condition.

“Beginning with the issue of corruption in this discussion is critical in line with the APC/President Buhari’s ‘Change Agenda’ and ‘hype in corruption chase’ which has left sour taste given the dishonesty and charade that have characterised the actions of this government so far.

“For the record, ‘corruption’ is endemic in our system since the military era and using it to whip up citizens’ sentiments is absurd while playing ignorant of honest achievements made by the PDP government to combat this alarming menace.

“The question is what has the APC done to fight corruption? Nothing! Yes indeed nothing except noise, hounding, torturing, flouting of court orders and vilification of opposition leaders and members in and out of courts; incarcerations without proving anything; harassments, intimidation, indiscriminate arrests and detention of judges in order to cow them to desecrate the judiciary and deny the people justice; promote gestapo state and by extension, kill democracy.”

According to the opposition party, Nigerians and the international community have no more confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the APC has allegedly through interference in the commission’s activities, has stopped it from carrying out its electoral responsibilities.

Markafi is a pure and complete mad man. An illegitimate man talking about apc government, well I have no problem because the real legit pdp chairman, sheriff didn’t try to slam or criticise apc government because he knew they have performed beyond expectations just in two years.

APC has really performed. There is food on the table of Nigerians. Inflation has come down to single digits. Employment rates are going higher.
Exchange rates have brought Naira at par with the Dollar. There is respect for rule of law. The Federal government now obeys court orders and judgements.
      Nigeria is now investors’ destination.
      All hail APC.

I don’t expect PDP to rate APC wll since APC took over from them. PDP is the opposition party and they will remain like that till heaven comes

Before you put out a curse, be sure you won’t be affected. “PDP is the opposition party and they will remain like that till heaven comes,” this is not necessary, if PDP is the party that will make Nigeria great again, that’s how we will all be stuck in the hands of APC
