Only 3 of 13 patients from Bayelsa are confirmed monkeypox cases, Health Minister says

The Minister of Health Professor Isaac Adewole has confirmed that only three of the 13 cases of monkeypox reported in Bayelsa State in the month of September proved to be positive.

Professor Adewole made the declaration following the outcome final report from analysis of samples taken to World Health Organisation laboratory in Dakar, Senegal.

Adewole also revealed that four of the 43 cases reported in Lagos, Akwa Ibom and Ekiti were negative.
