3 charged with attempted terrorist murder after police raids in Belgium

Three suspects of Belgian nationality have been charged with “attempted terrorist murder” following security raids across the country.

The overnight raids which was carried out across the European country saw the arrest of 12 nationals with nine of the suspects released after questioning while three others were later charged with “terrorist activities”.

The three suspects named on Saturday as Samir C, Moustapha B and Jawad B were reportedly suspected of plotting another terrorist attack in Belgium.

The suspects, all Belgian nationals, were also charged with “participation in the activities of a terrorist group”.
