3 days after, another body pulled out from rubble of collapsed mall

Another dead body was on Monday recovered from under the rubble of the collapse shopping mall in the Jabi area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The discovery is coming three days after rescue work was stopped at the site of the collapsed shopping mall that was under construction before the incident.

It would be recalled the Federal Capital Territory Administration and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) had on Saturday ended the rescue operation at the site after six persons and one dead body were evacuated from the building on Friday.

Relatives of the victims however protested the decision of the government, insisting that about 18 workers were still trapped under the rubble.

They were dispersed by policemen who fired tear gas and shots into the air.
