3 suspects arrested by Belguim police in anti-terror raids

The ongoing war against suspected terrorists continued in Brussels when three suspects were arrested by Belgium police during a series of raids in the suburb of Molenbeek.

According to spokeswoman for the Brussels prosecutor’s office, Ine Van Wymersch, four searches were conducted where some of the Paris and Brussels attackers lived or transited.

Van Wymersch said “the action has ended. Nothing was found, no weapons, no explosives.”

She declined to provide more details but said that the three would be questioned on Sunday to establish whether they should be charged or released.

Since the March 22, killing of 32 people by suicide bombers who attacked the Brussels airport and subway system, Belgian security operatives have been on high alert.
