3 years later, Mr. Eazi renews demand for car prize after winning Hip TV’s Next Rated award

“Leg Over” crooner, Mr. Eazi has called out Smooth Promotions, owners of Hip TV and the organisers of the Headies for failing to give him his car prize after he emerged the Next Rated Award winner during the 2016 edition of the music awards.

The singer lifted the lid on the matter after Hip TV shared a photo of him and his girlfriend Temi Otedola with the caption: “@jtonfashion x @mreazi feeling like French Montana and Elvira both in the new #JTOxOC collection.”

Obviously not impressed with the post on Instagram, Mr. Eazi replied thus: “Instead make u gimme my car u dey here dey tweet couple goals.”

Three years ago the singer saw off competition from Humblesmith, Aramide and Ycee to win the Next Rated award which has become the most controversial category in the music award.

Mavin records singer, Rema, had emerged the winner of the Next Rated category of the Headies in 2019 after seeing off challenges from the likes of Zlatan, Lyta, Victor AD, Joe boy and co to snag up the award.
