30-yr-old man lands in police net for defiling 6-yr-old daughter

The long arm of the law has caught up with a 30-year-old man identified as Basiru Audu after it was alleged that he has been having carnal knowledge of his six-year-old daughter.

Audu was arrested by men of the Niger State Police Command after it was reported that he had been abusing his daughter at his house at London Street, Minna, the state capital.

Reports say neighbours of the suspect discovered that the victim was walking awkwardly and when questioned, she confessed that her father “put something in her private part”.

In his confessional statement, the suspect whose wife is out of town revealed that he had been having sex with underaged girls before shifting attention to his daughter.

Audu; “I blamed my wife for not being around when I needed sex, she travels a lot and that was why I had to sleep with my daughter; what a shameful thing.

“That night, I was having a burning sensation to have sex and since my wife was not around, I had no option but to sleep with my daughter to ease off tension,” he confessed.

Reacting to the incident, Muhammad Abubakar, the Command’s Public Relations Officer said the matter was quite unfortunate but the suspect regrets his action.

He said; “When a father decides to sleep with his biological daughter, I think the world is coming to an end.”
