Health professionals ask Buhari to reverse ease of lockdown

No less than 32 health workers have tested positive to the covid-19 pandemic in Kano State.

The state Ministry of Health, in a post on its Twitter handle, @KNSMOH, Wednesday morning confirmed that the state recorded 32 new cases of the virus but did not say if they were health workers.

However, Kano State Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Sanusi Bala, told Channels Television that the 32 cases were all health workers.

Kano now has recorded 397 cases; out of the number, three persons had been treated and discharged while eight had died.

Tweet by the state Ministry of Health read:

“#COVID19KN Update as at 11:55pm 5th May 2020 32 new cases of #COVID19Kano cases confirmed.

Total confirmed cases in @KanostateNg are now 397.
