33 players invited for U-23 AFCON qualifier against Libya

The head coach of the U-23 national team, Imama Amapakabo has called up 33 players for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Libya.

Nine defenders, ten midfielders and ten forwards have been invited for the assignment, and to resume camping on Wednesday.

The clash that is billed to hold between March 20-22 is the first leg of the tie – and will be staged in Tunisia, as Libya cannot host any international game because of the unrest in the country.

The reverse fixture will take place in Nigeria on March 25th, as the Eagles seek to participate in the tournament they won in 2015.

If Nigeria qualifies, the team will be at Egypt for the 3rd edition of the U-23 AFCON from 8th – 22nd November 2019.
