34-year old ‘Small Alhaji’ of SDP wins Ondo APC Chairman’s constituency to emerge Reps member

Thirty-four-year-old House of Representatives candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ondo State, Tajudeen Adefisoye, known as ‘Small Alhaji’ may have emerged as the youngest member of the House of Representatives in the ninth assembly.

According to the results announced on Sunday by the returning officer of the constituency, Professor V. A Bello, Adefisoye polled 16,186 votes to emerge as the winner for Ifedore/Idanre Federal Constituency in the National Assembly elections held on Saturday.

His closest rival who is also a former commissioner for information in the state, Kayode Akinmade of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) got 14,191 votes.

Bamidele Baderinwa of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) who is also the incumbent representative of the constituency emerged as the second runner up.

Small Alhaji also defeated a former house of Assembly member in the state who is also the preferred candidate of governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, of the Action Alliance ( AA ), Sunday Akinwalere.

The chairman of the APC in the state, Ade Adetimehin who is also from the constituency also failed to deliver for his party, having lost to Adefisoye.
