3rd Republic Senator abducted in Cross River
A Third Republic lawmaker Senator Ani has been abducted in his farm located in Akpabuyo local government area, on the outskirts of Calabar.
Reports say the ex-Senator was kidnapped by gunmen without any resistance and a staff of the farm who confirmed the incident said men of the State Police Command are now at the scene of the incident.

ASP Irene Ugbo, Police Public Relations Office, could not confirm the kidnapping when she was reached said she would get back after confirming the incident which is coming at a time when the Cross River State government is to set up a Homeland Security Service as part of measures to address security challenges in the state.
