DELTA: Police nabs 7 suspects in connection with murder of NUPENG task force chair

A 45-year-old man identified as Mohammed Sanni is now cooling his heels in police net after he reportedly raped an 11-year-old boy who works as an apprentice at a mechanic workshop in the Mabuchi area of Abuja.

Reports say the suspect who was arrested by men of the FCT Police Command usually gives the victim the sum of N20 to buy biscuit each time he has sex with him and also warns him not to tell anyone what transpires between them.

While recounting his ordeal, the victim said; “When I was at the workshop some months ago, my friend told me to come, saying someone had a job for us. When I got to the man’s place, he took off my clothes and raped me.

“After he had finished, he gave me N20 to buy biscuits. He told me that if I told anyone, he would beat me.

“After that day, he continued to do it with me. Sometimes, he would give me N20, while some other times he would give me N30.”

The suspect on his part, said he is ashamed of his action and also asked for forgiveness from his young wife.

“I cannot really explain what came over me. I was not like this before,” he said.

The incident was confirmed by Anjuguri Manzah, the spokesman for the FCT Command, who informed that investigation into the matter were stil ongoing.

Manzah said; “I can confirm the incident. Investigations are ongoing and the suspect will be transferred to the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department.”
