4,527 COVID-19 cases currently receiving home-based care in Lagos – Health commissioner

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, said on Saturday at least 4,527 COVID-cases are currently undergoing home-based care in the state.

Abayomi, who disclosed this on his Twitter handle, said 23,036 persons had recovered from COVID-19 in various communities in the state.

According to him, there are 140 COVID-19 cases currently receiving treatment in the state’s isolation facilities.

The commissioner urged the people of the state to wear their face masks and comply with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) protocols on the pandemic.

Nigeria currently has 88,587 COVID-19 cases and 1, 294 fatalities.

Lagos remained the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country with 30,830 confirmed cases and 247 fatalities, according to the NCDC.
