Ammunition depot explosion kills 17 in india
At least 17 people lost their lives and 19 others got injured when a massive fire outbreak at an ammunition depot in Pulgaon, India sparked an explosion.
According to media reports, the explosion at the ammunition depot which is located Nagpur in the state of Maharashtra also claimed the lives of two police officers who were among the 17 soldiers reportedly killed.
Eyewitnesses say a huge blaze followed after the explosion at the depot in the early hours of the morning prompting thousands of families living in the area to be evacuated to nearby towns and villages.
