65-yr-old man and his 19-yr-old accomplice arrested for raping 9-yr-old girl

A 48-year-old pastor, Abayomi Adegboyega, is seeking to dissolve his 16-year-old marriage after alleging that his wife always demands money from him before sex.

Adegboye told an Igando Customary Court in Lagos State on Wednesday to end the marriage on grounds that his wife, Risikat, denied him sex.

He told the court that his wife starves him of sex and would never allow him to sleep with her unless he gave her money, or buys her a gift.

Reports revealed that the complainant threatened to kill himself if the marriage which had produced four children was not dissolved.

He also accused his wife of cooking his food late, soiling his image in public and fighting his church members.

However, 39-year-old Risikat denied all the allegations stating that her husband had threatened her life with charms.

She claimed that she never denied Abayomi sex nor cooked his food late. She also denied fighting her husband or members of his church.

The accused told the court that her husband was fond of beating her at the slightest provocation and had chased her and the children out of her matrimonial home nine months ago, without any financial support.

She pleaded with the court not to dissolve the union, adding that she still loved him in spite of his misbehaviour.

The President of the court, Mr Adeniyi Koledoye, urged the duo to maintain the peace and forgive each other for the sake of their children.

He adjourned the case to July 11 for mention.
