49-yr-old man arrested for lashing neighbour to death
The long arm of the law has caught up with a 49-year-old man, Garba Tukura who allegedly flogged his 65-year-old neighbour identified as Musa Wassa to death during a heated argument.
According to reports, the suspect committed the crime at Zazzaga Village in the Munya Local Government Area of Niger State when he severally flogged the victim with an engine belt.
Reacting to the incident, Peter Sunday, the Public Relations Officer for the police command, said Tukura viciously flogged the victim during the heat of the argument with the belt.

The PPRO said that Wassa who could no longer take the flogging from Tukura later slumped at the scene of the incident and was rushed to a hospital where he was discovered to be comatose and later confirmed dead by doctors.
Following the death of Wassa, operatives attached to the Sarkin Pawa division of the command arrested Tukura who confessed to the crime and he has also been charged to court for his action.
