5 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Kano

RAMADAN: Adults eating in public to be arrested in Kano

The Kano State government on Tuesday said five new cases of the deadly Covid-19 had been recorded in the state, bringing the total in the state to nine.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje who made the announcement on Tuesday in a statement on his official Twitter account- @GovUmarGanduje, this Wednesday morning wrote:

“Tests conducted on persons closest to the state’s index case of #COVID19 have revealed 5 additional cases. We now have a total of 9 cases in the state and more testing is ongoing to box the spread of the pandemic. Please stay indoors and give us a fighting chance.”

Consequently, the governor has declared a one week lockdown in the state to contain the spread of the dreaded pandemic.
