50 dead as ravaging cold snap hits Asia

Eastern Asia is the latest to be hit by extreme weather conditions following the death of 50 people in Taiwan with at least 60,000 tourists stranded in South Korea.‎

A cold snap is sweeping across the region with Taiwanese media reporting a rash of deaths from hypothermia and cardiac disease following a sudden drop in temperature over the weekend.
