The anti-corruption war of President Muhammadu Buhari went on another round of trial on Monday, as the suspended Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Prof. Usman Yusuf, was escorted to office by heavily armed policemen numbering about 50.

The policemen had to break the gate of the NHIS before gaining entrance into the premises.

Members of staff who attempted to prevent Prof Yusuf from entering were teargassed by the policemen.

Prof. Yusuf was suspended indefinitely by the board of the NHIS last week over corruption allegations. He however boasted that nobody can remove him from office except President Muhammadu Buhari.

It would be recalled that the Minister of Health, Prof Isaac Adewole had suspended the NHIS boss also on corruption allegations, but he was ordered back to office by President Buhari.
