NDDC BOARD: Ondo monarchs oppose Ajasin’s appointment

Published

on

MONARCHS from the oil producing parts of Ondo State have alleged that the appointment of Mr Tokunbo Ajasin as representative of the state on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, was nothing but sheer injustice.

The notable kings including the Olu of Igbokoda, Oba Odidiomo Afolabi Oladimeji, Alagbo of Odo- Nla, Oba Elias Ikuomola and the Olubo of Obe-Nla, Oba Andrew Ikuesan, while taking exception to the appointment, stated that the marginalisation of their areas in the appointment of NDDC boss must stop.

The kings maintained that the latest appointment of Ajasin was a complete digression from the NDDC Act noting that the nominee is not from the oil producing part of the state.
