6 killed in Mexico as teachers' protest turn bloody
A demonstration by teachers protesting education reforms and colleagues’ arrests went  bloody as police and protesters clashed in the rally which left at least six people dead.
The protests saw the radical teachers’ union blocking roads in southern Mexico before clashing with police leaving at least six people dead and more than 100 injured, officials said.
Protesters threw stones and Molotov cocktails, and burned vehicles, while journalists saw riot police firing on demonstrators.
Officials said six people were killed in Nochixtlan while 53 civilians, 41 federal police agents and 14 state police agents were injured.
