Your immune system is your body’s shield that wards off attack from infections and sickness.

When it starts to break down, you become susceptible to illness. In this article, we share seven tips on how to boost your immune system.

1) Find Ways To De-Stress: Did you know that stress not only causes you to tear your hair out … it can also wreak havoc with your immune system? It’s because the mind and body are related. When you’re stressed or anxious, the stress hormone cortisol runs riot. Eventually, physical symptoms start to appear, including skin conditions, headaches, stomach spasms, indigestion and much more.

2) Eat The Right Foods: Another great tip on how to boost your immune system is to eat the right foods. This means swapping junk food and sugary treats for fruit, vegetables, whole grains and legumes. While many of us are the champions of the world when it comes to macronutrients (protein, carbs and fats), we’re so bad when it comes to the micronutrients, such as vitamins and minerals.

3) Sleep More: Next great tip on how to boost your immune system is to have quality sleep. Sleep is super important for many reasons. Without enough sleep, you’re just not giving your body a proper break.

Ginger treats a wide number of things, thanks to its anti-inflammatory agents. It can kill of parasites and bacteria, and is exactly the help your body has been asking for.

7) Drink Lots Of Water: Lastly, as a grown adult you shouldn’t need us to tell you to drink more water. But if you still don’t drink enough (5-7 glasses per day) it’s time to up your game. If not for your sake, then for the sake of your wilting immune system.
